Standard imports — Customers

Practical guide for Excel/CSV work with UPDATE, INSERT and DELETE for customers.

1) Quick decision map
Which CodOpera value should I use?
  • UPDATE: fix an existing customer (typically identified by Email).
  • INSERT: create new customers from a file (CRM, campaigns, migration).
  • DELETE: permanently remove wrong/duplicated customer records.
Tip: if you plan to delete, export a backup first.
2) Real-world use cases
  • Fixing contact details: when the customer already exists and you want to correct phone, name or addresses. Use CodOpera=UPDATE, identify by Email (Email), and fill only the fields you want to change (Phone, First/Last Name, Address *).
  • Creating new customers: when importing CRM leads or campaign lists. Use CodOpera=INSERT and provide at least Email, plus optional name/phone to keep profiles complete.
  • Removing wrong records: when there are duplicates or customers created by mistake. Use CodOpera=DELETE by Email. Recommended: export first and verify a few cases before deleting in bulk.
