Tutorial: Maintenance

Inventory Maintenance lets you find a subset of products using filters and apply simultaneous changes to all of them: status, vendor, product type, tags, prices, and deletion – all without exporting or importing any files.

1) Search filters

Before performing any action, set filters to narrow down the products you want to work on. Filters can be combined freely.

Filter	Description
Title	Text search on the product name
Product type	Dropdown with all types present in the store
Vendor	Dropdown with all registered vendors
Status	Active, Draft, or Archived
SKU	Search by variant SKU
Shopify category	Category from the Shopify taxonomy

Warning: If you click "Search products" without any filter, a confirmation dialog will appear before loading the entire catalog. Confirm only if you really need to work on all products.

2) Results and pagination

The results table shows for each product: thumbnail, title, SKU, type, vendor, status, and image count.

Page size

You can choose how many products are shown per page: 50, 100 (default), or 250. The Previous / Next buttons navigate between pages while keeping active filters.

Selecting products

Individual checkbox on each row to select products one by one.
Header checkbox to select / deselect all products on the current page.
"Select All" button to mark all filtered results (including other pages).
"Deselect All" button to clear the entire selection.

3) Bulk actions

With products selected, click "Bulk Actions" to expand the update panel. Each field has its own "Apply" button, so you can make several independent changes in the same session.

🟢 Change status

Active – visible in the store
Draft – hidden, editable
Archived – removed from catalog

Useful for publishing or hiding entire groups of products instantly.

📂 Change product type

Reassigns the product type for all selected products. Type the new value in the text field and click Apply.

🏪 Change vendor

Updates the Vendor field for all selected products. Useful after supplier changes or catalog reorganisation.

🏷️ Tags

Add tags: type comma-separated tags (e.g. tag1, tag2) and click "Add".

Remove tags: type the tags to remove separated by comma and click "Remove".

💰 Prices

Fixed price: sets the same price for all variants of the selected products.
Compare-at price (strikethrough): useful for showing the original price during a sale.
Percentage adjustment: enter +10 to raise by 10% or -5 to lower by 5%.

🗑️ Deletion

Deletes the selected products from Shopify. A progress bar is shown during the operation.

"Delete All Results" button: deletes all products matching the active filters directly, without selecting them one by one.

Irreversible. This action cannot be undone from the app.

4) Special case: deletion without filters

If you apply no filters and click "Delete All Results", you will delete the entire product catalog.

Extreme caution required. A confirmation dialog will appear, but once accepted the deletion is permanent.

Only useful when:

You are going to fully re-import the catalog from scratch.
You are resetting the store in a test environment.

Typical workflow

Apply one or more filters to narrow down the products
Click "Search Products"
Review the results and adjust pagination if needed
Select products (individually, all on the page, or all results)
Click "Bulk Actions" to expand the panel
Choose the field to change, enter the value, and click "Apply"
Wait for the progress bar to complete the operation
